Product Overview

The S58 is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six, generating thick torque from low revs. The factory exhaust, though, deliberately suppresses sound pressure with an OPF and silencers. Accelerate and nothing follows. That first sense of something missing in a G80, G81, G82, G83 or G87 comes from the exhaust, not the engine.

TODOROKI™ VALVE RS TITANIUM uses the sameEqual-length Z-pipe Mid-pipe built in Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V). The alloy used for aircraft structures: a substantial weight saving over stainless, with the high-frequency character that only titanium delivers.6 mid-pipe options, 5 titanium body finishes, 8 tip optionsCan be selected from.

This productMade to orderThis is made to order. Once your order is confirmed, we build one unit exactly to your chosen specification.

A configuration that's first in Japan

Z-pipe, equal-length mid-pipe, valved exhaust. An exhaust for the BMW M3 G80/G81, M4 G82/G83 and M2 G87 that has all three at once is, among aftermarket products in Japan, This is a first-of-its-kind configuration.

Only mid-pipe type "1. Two mid resonators + one large resonator" has no Z-pipe.

Each individual element exists elsewhere. Some products have a valved exhaust, and others advertise an equal-length design. However,As far as we could find, no product achieves all three at once. The structure is explained below.

As of July 2026, BIMMER+ research (covering aftermarket products for the G80, G81, G82, G83 and G87 available in Japan).

Recommended configuration

There are 3 items to choose.Choose from the configurations below, and that alone gives you a complete, finished exhaust.

Options Recommended Reason
Mid-pipe Type 2. Z-pipe + Large Resonator A standard configuration that balances exhaust efficiency and torque while removing low-frequency drone. Restrained in everyday driving, it shows its true character when the valve opens
Titanium Finish One colour of your choice The colour of the body. This is the only item you should choose based on personal preference
Tip 8. Same colour as the body Finished in the same titanium finish as the body.Colour selection is a one-time choice

If you'd like a different finish for the tips only, you can choose from 7 options including carbon and black chrome.
If you'd like to fine-tune the volume tendency via mid-pipe type, please refer to the comparison table below.

Being made from Grade 5 titanium
  • Ti-6Al-4V (6-4 titanium): a titanium alloy with 6% aluminium and 4% vanadium. Stronger than pure titanium, and the grade used for aircraft structures and racing components. It is a different base material from anything simply labelled "titanium"
  • Weight reduction: titanium has roughly half the density of stainless. At the same wall thickness that means a substantial weight saving, and taking mass out of the rear of the car helps it turn in
  • Sound quality: titanium is less dense, and sound decays through it differently than through stainless. The high frequencies come through clearly and the note turns dry and metallic — that is the signature of titanium pipework
  • Heat and Corrosion Resistance: It loses little strength at high temperatures and resists corrosion well, making it a material well suited to the exhaust environment
  • Heat Tint: Heat forms an oxide layer on the surface, developing a gradient from blue to purple — a material whose character changes the more you use it
Titanium Finish: 5 Colours

Titanium's colour is not paint.Anodising forms an oxide layer on the surface, and the thickness of that layer creates colour through light interference. The colour isn't a coating applied on top — the titanium itself is producing the colour. That's whyUnlike a paint coating, it won't peel, and it won't discolour from exhaust heat.

Colour Finish
1. Natural Untreated titanium. A subdued grey that develops heat-tint colouring the more it's used
2. Polished A mirror-polished finish. It reflects light strongly, giving a whiter lustre distinct from stainless steel.
3. Gold The colour produced in the thinnest-film area. A gold that isn't too flashy, pairing well with carbon fibre
4. Purple The colour that most conveys the character of titanium. It shifts from blue-purple to red-purple depending on the angle.
5. Blue Deep blue. A colour familiar from racing parts that suits any body colour

The titanium finish isColour of the Exhaust Body (Titanium Pipe). Tips are chosen separately, from 8 options.Choosing "8. Same colour as the body" for the tip lets you unify the whole system in the same titanium finish,, and choosing a different finish lets you change the look of just the tip.All 5 titanium finishes are available at no extra cost.

Z-pipe + equal-length mid-pipe × valved exhaust

The mid-pipe on the TODOROKI™ VALVE RS TITANIUM cross-connects the left and right exhaust pathsZ-pipe sits at the centre of the design. The instant one side exhausts, that flow creates a depression inside the pipe. Cross the two sides and the depression pulls gas out of the other bank. That is the scavenging effect.

Unlike simply enlarging the pipe diameter to gain flow, you can extend high-rpm flow without losing low- and mid-range torque is what a Z-pipe really is. The body it adds at the bottom end, from bringing the two banks together once, is a by-product of that same structure. Layer the low-end weight a Z-pipe brings over the clear top end of titanium pipework and you get a note with genuine range.

And with TODOROKI™, this Z-pipeEqual-length Mid-pipe. If the Z-pipe is the structure that connects left to right, equal-length is the design that aligns when each side's gas reaches the junction. Unequal path lengths put the exhaust pulses out of phase, and scavenging will not work as intended however you cross them. Equally, matching the lengths alone achieves nothing if the two sides are never joined — there is nothing there to draw against.Equal-length and the Z-pipe are a combination that isn't complete with just one or the otheris the case. TODOROKI™ builds all 6 mid-pipe types with an equal-length design.

However, this structure does have a weakness. The better the flow, the more quietness is lost. The valved exhaust is what solves this issue.

  • Valve closed: A quiet path that routes through the silencer. Suitable for driving through residential areas or starting the car early in the morning
  • Valve open: The straight path opens up, letting the Z-pipe's scavenging effect work at its fullest

"Free-flowing exhaust" and "a quiet-running car" are normally a trade-off, but if the path itself can be switched, both can be achieved.Releasing the exhaust efficiency secured by the Z-pipe only when needed. This is the design philosophy behind the TODOROKI™ VALVE RS TITANIUM.

For those who want to take scavenging even further,A dual Z-pipe with the cross-connection points increased to two(mid-pipe type 6) is also available. Where a standard Z-pipe crosses the left and right exhaust flows once, the dual Zhaving it cross twice. Adding a second opportunity for the depression to draw against the opposite bank extends flow further still at high rpm. With no silencing element in the system, this is a choice aimed squarely at track use.

Five of the six mid-pipe configurations include a Z-pipe. Only "2 × medium resonator + large resonator" goes without one, prioritising silencing over scavenging (see the comparison table below).

How the Sound Changes
  • Equal-length pipe design: path lengths from the collector after the catalytic converter through to the left and right silencers are matched. Unequal lengths mean the two sides arrive out of step and the note muddies as revs rise. Matching them puts the exhaust pulses in phase and the sound stays clean to the top. TODOROKI™ builds all six mid-pipe configurations to an equal-length design
  • Z-pipe: cross-connects the left and right paths. The depression created as one side exhausts is put to work by the other, producing a scavenging effect. Flow improves without the usual loss of mid-range torque, and the note gains body at the bottom end
  • Resonator: a silencer that cancels specific frequencies. The greater the volume, the lower the frequencies it can suppress, so large units are effective against drone while medium and small ones tame the top end. Running several in series attenuates the sound in stages
  • Electronically controlled valve: switches the exhaust path just before the silencer. Closed, gas runs the quiet route through the silencer; open, it takes the straight path — so volume and character change together
  • Cat-back Structure: The factory catalytic converter is left in place, replacing only the section downstream of it. As it uses the factory hanger positions, no modification to the vehicle is required
Choosing a Mid-Pipe Type

The resonator volume and count, along with whether a Z-pipe is fitted, determine the balance between quietness and flow. All 6 types feature an equal-length design. Options 1-5 are the same price; only option 6, the dual Z-pipe, adds +¥30,000. The numbers correspond to the list in the product images.

Mid-pipe Type Sound Suppression Suited use cases
1. Mid-resonator ×2 + Large resonatorNo Z-pipe Maximum For anyone driving through residential streets, or early in the morning and late at night. A two-stage layout that prioritises silencing keeps things close to factory quiet with the valve closed. No Z-pipe conditioning
2. Z-pipe + Large ResonatorStandard Large The standard configuration. A Z-pipe delivers flow and torque together, while a large-volume resonator removes low-frequency drone. Restrained in everyday use, and fully itself once the valve opens
3. Mid-resonator ×2 + Z-pipe Medium A configuration that prioritises exhaust efficiency. Suited to those who want more volume while keeping it tasteful
4. Two small resonators + Z-pipe Small A configuration that prioritises volume. Silencing is limited, so some presence remains even with the valve closed
5. Straight + Z-pipe None A circuit-only configuration. With no silencing elements, exhaust efficiency is maximised. Not intended for everyday use on public roads
6. Dual Z-pipe+¥30,000 None A configuration with the Z-pipe crossing at two points. No silencing element, and passing the two banks across each other twice maximises scavenging. Like option 5, this is track-only and not intended for regular road use

You choose at the point of order. If you are unsure, tell us how the car is used — where it is parked, when you drive, whether it sees track time — and we will recommend a configuration.

Design based on 3D scanning

Fitment accuracy on an exhaust is settled by the actual car, not by a drawing. The TODOROKI™ system for the G80, G81, G82, G83 and G87 is Designed from 3D scan data of an actual car's underbody. Factory hanger positions, floor geometry and clearance to the rear bumper aperture are all pinned down from measured values, so it fits without modifying the car.

Welding isFully TIG-welded at high temperature. Since the exhaust system is constantly subjected to both heat and vibration, the quality of the joints directly determines durability.

Pairing with the S58

In the S58, two turbos each serve three cylinders. Gas that has passed through a turbine has already given up pressure and energy, so what happens downstream determines a great deal about how the car sounds. That is precisely why the mid-pipe configuration becomes the character of the note.

A straight-six also fires at even intervals, so first- and second-order vibrations cancel each other naturally. Raising sound pressure without disturbing that smoothness is the single biggest reason to pair a free-flowing exhaust with a straight-six.

How to choose a grade
Grade Price What's Included, and Who It's For
TODOROKI™ REAR ¥189,800 A configuration that replaces only the rear section. For those who want to change the sound and look with minimal investment. Equipped with a valved system
TODOROKI™ VALVE S ¥229,800 An affordable version of the full cat-back replacement. A grade that trims down the specification and cuts costs thoroughly to bring the price down. The only grade that supports OPF sensor installation
TODOROKI™ VALVE RS ¥279,800 The flagship grade, with a choice of 6 mid-pipe types. Z-pipe plus equal-length design, built in SUS304 stainless steel
TODOROKI™ VALVE RS TITANIUM ¥379,800 This item. The same structure as the RS, built in Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V). For those seeking weight savings and the higher-frequency character unique to titanium

The price difference from the VALVE RS is ¥100,000.The structure is identical; the only difference is whether the base material is stainless steel or Grade 5 titanium. Choose on whether the weight saving, the titanium note and the way the heat colouring develops matter to you. If it is only the volume you are after, VALVE RS gets you the same result.

The Thinking Behind TODOROKI™ TITANIUM

Even when the base material is swapped for Grade 5 titanium, no cost goes into decoration. What's invested goes solely into material and structure.

Titanium is difficult to work and demands both equipment and skill to weld. We can still offer it at this price because focusing exclusively on BMW lets us share jigs and validation processes, and reading which chassis actually sell removes the waste of small-batch production. By tightening every stage — administration, manufacturing and shipping — we offer a full Grade 5 titanium system below what others in Japan charge.

Fitment

BMW M3 G80 / G81 / M4 G82 / G83 / M2 G87 (S58)Purpose-built design.

BIMMER+ organises its collections by chassis code. Search from your own chassis and only the parts that fit will appear. Model year, trim and prior modifications may mean some adjustment is needed at fitting, so please ask before you buy if anything is unclear.

About the OPF Sensor

This productDoes not support OPF sensor installation. On cars fitted with an OPF (petrol particulate filter) sensor, the sensor cannot be relocated, so a warning light may appear.

If you want to retain the factory OPF sensor,The TODOROKI™ VALVE S, which supports sensor installation please consider it. It's the same valved cat-back, and machining for the sensor mounting hole can also be arranged.

The OPF is an emissions device introduced with the G-chassis generation. Whether one is fitted depends on market, model year and trim, so if you are unsure whether your car has an OPF sensor, please ask before ordering.

Pricing and Shipping

The listed priceShipping, customs duties, and customs clearance fees are all included. There are no additional costs after the product arrives.

Exhausts are bulky and heavy, and shipping alone runs to around ¥20,000. Some sellers bill freight and domestic forwarding separately from the product price; BIMMER+ quotes one all-inclusive figure.

After Your Purchase

After your purchase, be sure to"Vehicle model / year / VIN" via our contact form. Even if you do not want any customisation, please still get in touch so we can identify your car.

About Installation

Removing and fitting an exhaust requires specialist tools and a lift. We strongly recommend installation by a qualified workshop or specialist. Wiring for the valve controller is also involved, so if you are not confident about fitting it yourself, please use a professional.

On cars with a factory valve, removing it may trigger a warning light. If that happens, a canceller or similar solution will be required.

About Lead Time

As these are built to order, shipping after order confirmation typically takes2–4 weeks. Customisation, production and logistics can push this beyond the stated period. If you are working to a deadline, talk to us before ordering.
